Option (c) is correct. A reducing agent, or reductant, loses electrons in a chemical reaction.
A reducing agent is typically an agent in it lower oxidation states and in this state is known as an electron donor.
A reductant gets oxidized because it loses or 'donates' electrons in the redox reaction. Some examples - formic acid, sulfite compounds.
