Genes are made up of DNA. It is a region present on DNA which acts as instructions to make molecules called as proteins. DNA consists of diverse sequences of nucleotides which can make different types of functional proteins.

Enzymes are biomolecules which accelerate or catalyze the biological reactions. Most of the enzymes are protein in nature.

Fatty acid synthesis is a process of making fats. This process requires many enzymes which convert acetyl-CoA and malonyl-CoA to different types of fats. Hence, many genes are required for fat synthesis.
