Explanation:

i) After double fertilization and ripening, the ovary becomes the fruit, the ovules inside the ovary become the seeds of that fruit, and the egg within the ovule becomes the zygote.

ii)The basis for the classification of angiosperms into monocots and dicots is the number of cotyledons present in these two groups of plants. The seed of monocots has one cotyledon, whereas seed of dicots has two cotyledons.

iii)Gymnosperms. This term is made from two Greek words: gymno- means naked and sperma- means seed. The plants of this group bear naked seeds and are usually perennial, evergreen and woody. Examples are pines and deodar.

iv) Plant embryos in seeds have structures called cotyledons. A cotyledon is the central portion of a seed embryo to which the epicotyls- the immature shoot, and the radicle- the immature roots, are attached. Plants are classified according to the number of cotyledons present in the embryo.
