There is nothing in following but I have written what i know .....

A number of preservatives, such as citric acid, ascorbic acid, sodium benzoate, vinegar, salt, calcium propionate ,sodium sorbate, potassium sorbate, benzoic acid etc. are used in various foods and beverages in order to prevent spoilage and also to increase the shelf value of food during storage.
