The Mughal's were very famous for their art and the way they lived. They always had minute detailing in their paintings and wall work.
Even today, the work of that time is so astonishing, the roads and small hand painted windows in old Lahore are something not to miss.
The Mughals got their painting done through a lot of artists, there was not one common.
Some of the most famous ones were, Daswanth, Mukand, Basawan and Jagan.

Basawan was one of the major painter at Mughal King Akbar's court.He mainly worked during the period of 1580 to 1600.During this period King Akbar ruled India.
Later on Basawan's son Manoher Das was also hired as Court Painter.
Basawan was known for his amazing paintings.
He created Akbarnama and other manuscripts.
Basawan was also inspired by the Europian style of paintings and he did
apply that in his paintings.
He had also started to use lighter shades.
He was a great painter and his work made him very famous all over the
world.
