we have to find out which one of the following weight the most?

(a) One g – atom of nitrogen

(b) One mole of water

(c) One mole of sodium

(d) One molecule of H2SO4

solution : one gram - atom means one mole.

so, mass of one gram- atom of nitrogen = molecular weight of water = mass of one mole of nitrogen = 14 g

mass of one mole of water = 18g [ as molecular weight of water = 18 g/mol]

mass of one mole of sodium = atomic mass of sodium = 23 g [highest value]

mass of one molecule of H₂SO₄ = mass of one mole of H₂SO₄/no of molecules in one mole of H₂SO₄

= 98g/(6.023 × 10²³) = 1.6271 × 10⁻²² [least value ]

therefore one mole of sodium weighs the most.

Answer:

c

Explanation:

c) One mole of water = 18g
1 g of atom of nitrogen=14g
1 mole of sodium = 23 g
1 molecule of `H_(2)SO_(4)` = (9.8)/(6.023 xx 10^(23))` g
`=1.627 xx 10^(-24)` g
Hence, one moleof sodium weigh the most.
