Question :--- Which of the following year has 53 Sundays?

(a) 2001 (b) 2006 (c) 2009 (d) None of these

Concept :--

Leap year :-- A year that is divisible by 4 is a leap year, and all multiply of 100 ( century year) must be divisble by 400 than its a Leap year.

→ A leap year has 366 days = 52 weeks and 2 extra days..

→ A simple year has 366 days = 52 weeks and one extra day...

_____________________________

Solution :---

→ As we know that, a Simple year has 52 weeks + 1 day Extra , That means we can say that :---

52 weeks means definitely there are 52 sundays (this is true for all other days also) ans if the rest one day is also sunday then we will have 53 sundays.....

That Means, we have to check if 1 jan is Sunday or Not,

That Means, we have to check if 1 jan is Sunday or Not, If 1 jan of anyone From Option is Sunday, that Means that year, we get 53 sunday in Total ...

Lets Check Now,

A) 1 Jan 2001 = 1 + 2000 = 1 + 0 = 1 = Monday .

B) 1 jan 2006 = 1 + 2000 + 5 + 1 = 1 + 0 + 6 = 7 = Sunday .

C) 1 jan 2009 = 1 + 2000+8+2 = 11 = 4 = Thursday .

So, we can say that, Year 2006 Have Total 53 sunday's .
