Ozone layers are of the two types one is known as bad ozone and second is good ozone. Bad ozone is found in the lower atmosphere i.e troposphere.  There is ‘good’ ozone that is found in the upper part of the atmosphere called the stratosphere which absorbs the UV radiation from the sun. It creates a balance between the production and degradation of ozone in the stratosphere. This balance has been disrupted due to enhancement of ozone degradation by chlorofluorocarbons. CFCs is used as refrigerants.
