When a heavy object placed on a smooth horizontal plane then reaction acts vertically upwards is force of reaction R which is generally equal to mg so

R=mg

when body is dragged in horizontal plane then frictional force uR opposite to the direction of the motion begins to act on it.

When we increase the pulling force then coefficient of friction u also increases and becomes maximum at this time it is called limiting equilibrium.

In the case frictional force uR and coefficient of friction u becomes maximum,

on further increasing the pull body begins to move and frictional force uR decreases slightly.

In this case friction is called dynamic friction and it's coefficient u is called coefficient of dynamic friction.

So R remains constant but uR changes
