Fusion of isogametes of Cladophora is structures/modes of reproduction does not produce genetically similar individuals

Explanation:

1.As it reproduce sexually, therefore it is not genetically similar.Syngamy is the complete and permanent fusion of male and female gametes to form the zygote.

2.In Cladophora reproduction is isogamous. Isogamy, shown in figure (i) involves the fusion of gametes which do not differ morphologically but may be different physiologically. Such gametes are called isogamete.

3.The haploid gametophyte produces haploid gametes by mitosis and the diploid sporophyte produces haploid spores by meiosis.

4.The only visible difference between the gametes and spores of Cladophora is that the gametes have two flagella and the spores have four.
