Which of the two provides more air to plant roots sandy soil or clayey soil ? why?

Sandy soil provides more air to the plant because clayey soil is moisture retention soil and it creates a air tight seal near the plant but Sandy soil has large particles which in turn regulates the air flow to the plant.
