the question is wrong...! it is if voltmeter is connected in parallel and when ammeter is connected in series. the answer is Both will give correct reading because the rule itself is that the ammeter should be connected in series to let the current flow and give proper result. and the voltmeter should be connected in parallel as it has high resistance and if we connect it in series no current will flow through it.
