The naming and accepting the fact that a country is democratic gives the right to a common man to choose the government. Universal adult franchise also plays an important role. This is my answer. Happy to help!

Since India is a democratic country, all the Indians have the right to vote irrespective of their religion, caste, color and creed.
The right to vote is considered as one of the fundamental rights of every citizen of this country and thus by exercising this right, they chose the government they think is best suited for the development of the nation.
