Hey there!

Q. Which of these is also called the ‘City of Spices’, for its role as the major trading point of Indian spices during the middle ages.

Answer : Kozhikode

Few lines :

Kozhikode, also known as Calicut, is the district headquarter situated on the southwest coast (Kerala) on the Malabar coast of India. It was formed in January 1 in 1957. Its role as the major trading point of Eastern spices like black pepper and cardamom with Jews, Arabs, Phoenicians, and Chinese for more than 500 years or during the middle ages gave the title "City of Spices". In several parts of the city, there were several beautiful architectural sculptures located and that's why it is also called as the “City of Sculptures”(Shilpa Nagaram), it was named on June 7 in 2012.
