Option c) Chandela
Chandela was not a Gond kingdom.
- The Chandela dynasty of India was started by Nannuka (c. 831–845 CE). He was the region's ruler in Jejakabhukti (Bundelkhand in present-day Madhya Pradesh).
- Yashovarman, the monarch of Chandela in the tenth century, essentially became independent even if he maintained to recognise Pratihara suzerainty.
- India's Rajput clan known as the Chandel or Chandela.
- Following Madanvarman, Yashovarman II ruled for a relatively short time. Parmardidev, Yashovarman II's son, assumed the kingdom upon his death. He was crowned as the last of the greater Chandella kings while he was a young boy. Over the course of almost 35 years, he was in power.
- Chandela, often spelled Candella, was a Rajput clan of Gond descent that governed Bundelkhand in north-central India for several centuries and drove off early Muslim invasions. Early in the ninth century ce is when the first Chandela is said to have reigned.
