Liquid carbon tetrachloride will act as an non-electrolyte.
Explanation:
- When a substance dissolved in water dissociates into ions then the resulting solution is known as an electrolyte. As electric current is the flow of electric charges therefore, a solution or substance having ions is able to conduct electric current.
- Whereas a solution which does not contain any ions is known as a non-electrolyte. For example, when a non-polar substance like is dissolved in water then it will not dissociate into ions.
- Therefore, the solution formed will be non-conducting in nature and hence, it will be a non-electrolyte. Whereas NaOH and KCl will completely dissociate into ions and acetic acid will partially dissociate into ions.
