P=VI = (V 2 )/R
=> R=(V 2 )/P
Substitute the values of V and P
P=40W, V=220V,
using the formula above, R=(220 2 )/40 = 1210ohms
P=60W, V=220V, similarly R=(220 2 )/60 = 806.67 ohms
The 1st one has greater resistance!
