There are millions of tubular complex type of structures present in kidney of humans called nephrons. These are regarded as the functional units of the organ named kidney.

Glomerulus and renal tubule are the two parts of each nephron.

Glomerulus is formed by a branch of renal artery called afferent arteriole. The renal tubule has a cup shaped structure called the Bowman's capsule.
