Euglena is not considered either a plant or an animal as it shows characteristic of both plants and animals.


Euglena do photosynthesis using carbon-di-oxide and chlorophyll in the presence of sunlight i.e it uses the same basic process that plants use.


Moreover they also move around and eat, as done by the animals. But euglena being a unicellular organism is not classified as either of these. It is called a protist
