Which one of the following is not an effect of the modern farming?

(b) Deforestation
(c) Decrease in groundwater
(d) Water pollution
I know the answer everyone writing is Water Pollution.
But my question is that due to pesticides and fertilizers ground water gets eroded, right? So how can the answer be Water Pollution?

and even i think that it DOES cause water polution, as the soil cannot retain the chemicals for long.. so it escapes from the soil, thus, (D) polluting groundwater, lakes and rivers.. also (C) decreases groundwater

and, it kills microorganisms and bacteria making the soil less fertile & degrade (A)
