Of the following (d) Both (a) and (b) are most stable

  • True solutions are stable because the particle size is very small and it remains uniform through out the solution.
  • In case of colloids, the particle size is little bigger than true solutions but still the particles are light enough to remain uniform through out . Colloidal particles never settle in the bottom hence, they are stable too.
  • Due to their small particle size both true solution and colloid are stable.
  • Suspensions on the other hand have large sized particles that suspend on the bottom after a while. It is because of this reason why suspensions are least stable.
