Hey there...
Here is your answer

Arteries which helps the heart pump the blood is made up of Three layers. They are:-
■Tunica Intima -made up of thin layer of endothelial cells
■Tunica media -made up of mascular middle layer
■Tunica Adventitia-outermost layer.
Usually tunica intima and tunica adventitia doesn't take part in constriction of the arteries but tunica media does as it is mascular.
Actually when the smooth muscles found within the tunica media are stimulated, it results in the contraction of the wall of artery causing the arteriol walls constrict and get narrowed or dilated to adjust the volume of blood pumped by the heart .

There are four chambers in the heart. They are Right and left atrium, right and Left Ventricles.

Here the right parts of the heart is responsible for the collection of oxygen depleted blood from the body and pumping it to the lungs. The left part of the heart is responsible for the collection and oxygen rich blood from the lungs and pump it to rest of the body parts.

The entire process of pumping and collecting is known as systole and diastole

Systole and diastole are the two major part of cardiac cycle in which the heart muscles get contracts and relaxes.

Systole is a process of contraction in heart muscles after the blood emptying process.

Diastole is a process of relaxation in heart muscles after the blood refilling process.

Systole needs 0.3 seconds to pump blood to all the part of the body.

Diastole needs 0.5 seconds to refill the blood to all the four chambers of the heart.

Systole and Diastole needs a total of 0.8 seconds to complete the entire process of blood pumping and refilling.
