Muhammad Manbat Khanji III, the nawab of Junagadh, decided to join Pakistan. The main reason for this decision was his ancestors of muslim origin.
On 15th September 1947, Nawab of Junagadh joined the Dominion of Pakistan. A plebiscite survey was conducted in which 99.95 % voted in favour of joining India.
India forced the Nawab of Junagadh to join India.
