Heye

your answer ⏬

___________________________

★ Potassium oxide is produced from the reaction of oxygen and potassium; this reaction affords potassium peroxide, K2O2. Treatment of the peroxide with potassium produces the oxide: K2O.

★ There will be no reaction. Copper is a very unreactive metal, and it does not react with hydrochloric acid. It is above copper in a metal reactivity series, so copper cannot replace the hydrogen in HCl to form CuCl2 .

★ When magnesium reacts with very dilute nitric acid, it forms magnesium nitrate and hydrogen gas is evolved. As the nitric acid is very dilute, it acts as a weak oxidising agent, which is unable to oxidise the hydrogen gas.

★ All of above is your answer

Answer:

Which one of the following statements is incorrect?

Explanation:

Here we have to see which statement is correct and which is not.

The given statements are-

a) Potassium reacts with oxygen to form basic oxide.

b) Copper reacts with dilute hydrochloric acid to form copper chloride and hydrogen gas.

c) Magnesium nitrate is formed when magnesium reacts with dilute nitric acid.

d) All the above

Reasons:

1. Potassium is non- metal and non- metals combines with oxygen to form the basic oxide. And then this oxide reacts with moisture and carbon dioxide to form a basic carbonate.

2. Copper will not react with hydrochloric acid for very dimple reason- copper can not be replace the hydrogen in HCL to form CuCI2.

3. When Magnesium reacts with the dilute nitric acid it form magnesium nitrate and hydrogen gas is evolved.

So all sentence are correct and nothing is incorrect.

Hence, all the statements are true that means they all are correct.
