Which one of the two an ammeter or milliammeter has a higher resistance and why?

$<b>milliampere have greater resistance. For a constant voltage , the current through a milliammeter must be lower$(in.. the.. order_ of.. milliamperes)$<i> but the current through an ammeterwould be higher (in the order of amperes) thus the resistance in milliammeter will be higher.$.

a milliammeter will have a comparatively higher resistance as in an ammeter a very low shunt is connected in parallel.
