- The alimentary canal starts from mouth. The other organs in series are pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum and anus.
- The food is digested in these organs by secretion of the several enzymes secreted by different organs.
- Liver is indirectly associated with digestion of food. It forms bile acids which are stored in gall bladder. They are secreted to help absorption of food by the intestine.
