Increasing 50 by x% =50+x% *50= 50+x/2
Decreasing 70 by x% =70-[ x/100*70] =70-7x/10
According to the question ,
50+x/2=70-7x/10
x/2+7x/10=70-50
(5x+7x)/10=20
12x=200
x=200/12=50/3=16.66
Therefore value of x=16.66
