Across the x axis reflection
(x,y) becomes (x,-y)
(5,7) becomes (5,-7)
best way to visualize is to draw your x and y graph with
x,y
quadrant 1 (+,+)
quadrant 2 (-,+)
quadrant 3 (-,-)
quadrant 4 (+,-)
(5,7) is in quadrant 1 and it reflects (like a mirror) on the x axis it will reflect opposite on the x axis which is quadurant 1 facing quadrant 4 on your graph. Thus (+,-) making (5,-7).
