In terms of structure plant and animal cells are similar since they are both eukaryotic cells.

They both contain membrane bound organelles.

The functions of the organelles are similar across the two cells.

However there are a few differences between the cells which show a difference in the function of each cell.

For instance a plant cell is larger than an animal cell.

The main structural differences in plant and animal cells is seen in the additional organelles found in plant cells.

This include :

1) Chloroplast

2) Cell wall

3) Vacuole
