The Election Commission of India is an independent constitutional authority accountable for conducting the election processes in India. The body is authorized to manage the elections process held in legislative assemblies, states elections, and elections held in Lok sabha after every 5 and 6 years respectively and also the offices of the country's President and vice president of the country. The Election Commission administers supporting the authorization of Constitution per Article 324 and consequently established Description of the People Act.
