viruses are the interlinking between living and non living. The best example is Bacteria phage. Its host are bacterial cells. Before it attacks bacteria, all its plasma is crystallized. As soon as, it enters a bacterium, it controls the living mechanism of the bacterium. Thus, it becomes living too. The reason why Ganga water is still clean, not foul-smelling, can be attributed to this virus, quite harmless to humans and harmful to bacteria!
