The scattering of light is phenomenon of the absorption and then re emission of light energy. In the process of scattering, color having long wavelength will scatter the least while one having shorter wavelength scatters the most. Since wavelength increases in VIBGYOR, that is from violet to red, violetand blue scatter most while red scatters least.

The red light must be travelling through a greater speed compared to green light as it is deflected the least.So ,it is the green light that is scattered more
