The impact of short sightedness  is that person can't see far off clearly.

Explanation:

Short-sigtedness

  1. It is a disorder when person can see nearby but cant see far off clearly .
  2. It is also called as  myopia .
  3. It occurs due to problem in accommodation power of eye and eye defects .
  4. In this the ciliary muscles do not get fully relaxed , due to which focal length doesn't increase properly as a result the far off is not seen clearly.
  5. The eye defect can be eye ball being too long and converging power of lens being too high.
  6. In this the image is formed of defective type that is in front of retina .
  7. So, in order to correct it the patient has to use spectacles having concave  lens .
