  • in case of the mendeleev periodic table periodic table was created on the basis of the atomic week of the elements and not on the basis of the atomic number. As a result of this the lower elements such as hydrogen and helium followed the order of increasing atomic weight.
  • However there were certain exception as in the case of organ and potassium where there was not increasing order of atomic weight. This was the drawback of the mendeleev periodic table
