The valleys of the Euphrates and Tigris, Pakistan, India, the island of Java in Indonesia, the Hwang-Ho and Yangtze-King valley of China, Japan are very thickly populated. On the other hand hill regions of North India, the hilly region of China, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon are thinly populated and the region extending from the deserts of West Asia passing through the Central Asian mountains up to the Tundra region has population density less than 5 person or less in per square km.
