“Central Processing Unit(CPU)” controls the alternative parts of computer.

EXPLANATION:  

CPU consists of arithmetic logic unit which performs arithmetic operations, registers-to store the data, control unit- to check the operations performed and internal bus- to connect the different parts of the CPU by wires. Whenever the CPU receives a signal, it performs the operation and allots various tasks to different parts of the computer. When the power is off, CPU temporarily stores data in “Random Access Memory(RAM)” which is also the main part of the computer.
