The part of Ear that does not vibrate while detecting sound is Pinna.

Pinna is the outermost part of the ear , which only absorbs the sound from the surroundings.

The absorbed sound touches the eardrum
And , then the Eardrum starts to Vibrate

The ear pinna doesn't vibrate while detecting sound.

  • The ear pinna is part of the outer human ear.
  • The main role of the ear pinna is to collect the sound vibrations from the external environment that travel through the ear canal to ultimately reach the tympanic membrane (eardrum).
  • The sound waves vibrate the tympanic membrane that then vibrates the ear ossicles malleus, incus, and stapes (middle ear).
  • These vibrations then reach the inner ear these, in turn, vibrate the fluid present in the cochlea (inner ear).
