Answer:

plese give feedback and like ...????

Explanation:

The hearts electrical activity starts with the sino-atrial node in the right atrium, which sends its impulse to the rest of the heart causing contraction. However it the SA node fails there are still two backups, the AV Junction, and the purkinje fibers, however they are not able to send out impulses as fast and the contractions aren't as efficient.

SA node (sinoatrial node)

Explanation:

Contracting and relaxing of the heart are due to the working of atria and ventricles alternately that helps to pump blood through our heart carried out by the electrical impulse of our heart.

Our heartbeat is initiated by electrical impulses that follow a special pathway through our heart  -

  1. SA node (sinoatrial node)
  2. AV node (atrioventricular node)
  3. His-Purkinje Network
  • SA node (sinoatrial node) is responsible for initiating and maintaining its rhythmic activity that is also known as the heart’s natural pacemaker
  • In the right atrium of our heart, called the SA node, the impulse is started from a bundle of cells that are located in it
  • The electrical impulse spreads all over the walls of the atria that makes them contract
  • Due to the contraction of atria blood is forced into the ventricles.

∴ The SA node initiates and maintains the rate and rhythm of our heartbeat
