  • Lagos State

The first on this list of most developed states in Nigeria is Lagos State. This quite obvious and you can easily guess this even before opening this post. Kano State is the most developed state in the Northern part of Nigeria and the 3rd most developed state in the country. The state should be a must-visit if you are coming to Nigeria for the first time and you wish to go to the northern region.

Enugu State is located in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria, and it indeed one of the most developed states in the country. The state is well-known for its steady economic development.

  • Ogun State

Kaduna State is situated in the Northern part of Nigeria just like Kano, and it is the 8th most developed states in Nigeria presently. The state is well developed in term of infrastructures too.

  • Oyo State

Oyo State for sure is one of the most developed states in Nigeria, as the infrastructures found in the state speaks for itself. The state serves as a passage route for most of the states located in the western part of Nigeria. Ibadan, which is the largest city in West Africa, is the capital of Oyo State.

  • Katsina

Katsina State is the 10th most developed states in Nigeria today and it is also found in the North. The state has good infrastructural development, and the schools there are above average too. Katsina State also have a good road network, and the present President of Nigeria actually hails from Katsina State.
