which part of the atmosphere is known as the homosphere and why?

homosphere begins at the Earth surface and extend to an altitude of about 80km. It composed of troposphere, stratosphere and mesosphere. Above the homosphere is the heterosphere, which is stratified according to the molecular weight of its constituent gases.
