Which part of the brain control relay information between cerebellum and cerebrum
Answers
thalamus act as relay station between cerebrum and cerebellum that controls information between them
Forebrain (Thalamus).
The brain is a component of the central nervous system. It sends, receives, processes and directs sensory information. There are three main divisions of the brain- Forebrain, Midbrain and Hindbrain.
The forebrain consists of two parts- telencephalon and diencephalon. The telencephalon consists of the cerebral cortex and the corpus callosum while the diencephalon is made up of thalamus and hypothalamus.
The thalamus acts as a sort of telephone line that allows information to go through the cerebral cortex. It serves as a relay station for impulses travelling to and fro from the spinal cord, brain stem, cerebellum and cerebrum.
