HEY

In cataract, the affected part is lens.

The lens loses its transparency and becomes opaque to light and hence vision is impaired.

It is corrected by surgical removal of opaque lens and can be corrected by using biconvex glasses.

Intraocular lens implantation is also helpful.

Cataract is more common among old people.
