The Heart muscles ( also called cardiac muscles), periodically contract and relax, forcing blood into blood vessels, which carry them to various parts of the body.

The blood is carried away from the heart by arteries ( mainly the Aorta- Largest Artery), while blood is brought back to the heart by veins ( Vena Cava - Largest Vein).
