Hey Mate here is your answer

The Bangadarshan was published from calcutta in April 1872 under the editorship of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee . According to Dr. Ramesh Chandra Majumdar , Bangadarshan was the first literacy journal of its kind in Bengal . Bankim Chandra wrote profusely in the journal . At the same he instructed the other contributors to write articles on different subjects like politics , history , philosophy and so on . The numerous essays written by Bankim Chandra and published in the Bangadarshan show clearly that the unlettered mass of the country and not the educated few were the objects of his interest . Also Bankim Chandra was unhappy about the widening gulf between the Western - educated few and the unlettered millions of the country .

May the answer will help you .
