Medieval history-

In India ,the medieval period ranges from the beginning of the 8th century(700 AD) to the end of the 18th century(1750 AD)

Medieval history is strongly associated with the Islamic rule in India.

Historians divided the medieval period into two parts.The Early Medieval period and the late medieval period.The early medieval period dates from the 8th century to the 13 th century.The powerful kingdoms of the Palas,Pratiharas,Rahtrakutas,cholas and the Rajputs ruled during this period.

The late medieval period dates from the 13th century to the 18th century that is from 1200 to 1750 AD .The rule of Turks ,The Afghans and the Mughals come within this period.

Modern history

By the last Quarter of the eighteenth century The Britishers establish themselves as a dominant power in India.

The British ruled India for about two centuries and bought social,political and economical changes in India.

The Britishers commercially exploited the natural resources of our country .

The exploitative nature of the Britishers led to the the birth of nationalist agitation against the British rule.The anti British struggle become a mass movement with the advent of the mahatma Gandhi.

This struggle was followed by countless movement against the British rule .

In 1947 India got the Independence but the Independence came with the division of country into India and Pakistan.
