INTERPHASE
. It is tge most active stage of the cell cycle where both cell growth and DNA replication occurs in an orderly manner. It is calledd the resting phase because there is no apparent activity related to cell division . It is further divided into 3 stages :
G1 phase (interval between mitosis and initiation of DNA replication)
∆∆it is also known as the post mitotic phase
S phase (synthesis phase where replication takes place . here the amount of nucleic acid doubles but the number of chromosome remains the same)
G2 phase (it is between S phase and mitosis phase)
∆∆it is known as the pre mitotic phase
