According to Wave theory , light is a sort of disturbance. The particles of medium, vibrate in a direction, at right angle to the direction of disturbance. The process is called Wave motion. Consider light to be wave motion , following properties can be explained:
1. Rectilinear propagation of light
2)Reflection
3)Interference
4)Diffraction.
5)polarization

Answer:
Photoelectric effect in light cannot be explained by wave nature of light. It can only be explained by particle nature of light, because it involves emission of photoelectrons by the action of photons on a metal surface. This can only possible if light is to be considered of particle nature!
