Answer:

When water vapour present in the atmosphere or air condenses in the form of water droplets then it results in the formation of clouds.

Therefore, phenomenon for formation of clouds is known as condensation.

Drying of wet clothes is a phenomenon called vaporization as liquid state of water changes into gaseous state.

When wax melts in the sun then this phenomenon is called melting.

When solid state of matter changes directly into vapour state without undergoing liquid state then this phenomenon is known as sublimation.

Therefore, size of naphthalene ball decrease due to sublimation phenomenon.

Explanation:

(i) Formation of clouds takes place because of condensation. Condensation takes place when the water that has evaporated changes back to liquid state and condenses in the upper layers of the atmosphere forming clouds.

(ii) Drying of wet clothes takes place because of evaporation. Evaporation is the process in which water changes to its vapour state. When wet clothes are put for drying, the heat changes the water into its vapour or gas state.

(iii) Wax melts in the sun because of melting. Melting takes place when a solid changes to its liquid state because of high heat.

(iv) Sublimation causes the size of naphthalene balls to decrease. Sublimation takes place when solid changes to its vapour state directly.
