Given :  ms⁻²

To find : physical identity has given unit

Solution:

ms⁻²

= m/s²

m - unit of length  ( displacement / distance / length )

s  = unit of time

Rate of change of distance / displacement is speed / velocity

m / s  = velocity or   Speed

Rate of change of velocity is acceleration

(m/s)/s = acceleration

=> m/s²  = acceleration

=> ms⁻²  = acceleration

acceleration  has unit m/s²

Answer:

acceleration = ms-2

Explanation:

Looking at ms-2, this can be broken down into two basic dimensions.

One is distance whose unit is m

While the other dimension is time whose unit is s

Taking the rate of change of distance to time, we get velocity whose unit is;

V = distance / time

Velocity = m/s

Now if we take the rate of change of velocity we will get acceleration

a = v / t

acceleration = (m/s) / s

acceleration = ms-2
