Which physical principle is being made use of by a stethoscope? How does stethoscope work?Explain with the help of diagram .Explain any other application based on the same principle. Please Help me tomorrow is my exam please help

Reflection in the stethoscope tube

The physical principle employed in the making of stethoscope is Multiple reflection of sound.

Working of stethoscope,

the bell part kept at patient's heart absorbs the "lap- tap" sound of heart and this is transmitted to the doctor's ear through the ling tube connecting the bell like part and ear plug. The sound gets reflected multiple times within the tube, thus its wavelength increases.

other places where the principle of multiple reflection is applied is loud speakers, hearing aids, megaphones etc...
